But she fails to make Koli a logical celluloid representation of the sex-starved, barren, rich and famous woman because the costumes are wrong, the orchestration is rough and crude and the break-up lacks logic. Dolon is a beautiful woman and a talented actress. But the 'torrid' scenes in hotel rooms are as passionate as a boiled egg because except badly cinemato-graphed shots of entangled legs, bare shoulders and backs, there is little sensuality or aesthetics in the scenes.
Koli (Dolon Roy), though married, feels a strong pull towards Prem (Dronn Mukherjee), a young hulk and seduces him. But this fails to bring together the different strands of the story to make it a memorable cinematic experience. Director Aloke Kumar Roy creates a third person narrator (Locket Chatterjee) to hold the script together. The subject of Premer Kotha Koli offered ample scope to portray an intensely physical affair between a married woman and a much younger man. Plot: Frustrated middle-aged housewife has a torrid affair with a young boy. Cast: Arjun Chakraborty, Dolon Roy, Dronn Mukherjee, Pallabi Chatterjee.
